Since we have a very small paid staff, our volunteers play a critical role in CCYR’s mission to help individuals and families in need. Hopefully, you too, will consider serving others as a Christmas Charities volunteer.  There are many ways you can help, such as sorting clothes, sending thank you notes, washing toys, working in the warehouse, taking applications, inspecting bicycles, distributing canned goods, cleaning up, or assisting with special events such as our annual 5K Race or Yard Sale.

You can be as flexible as you want with the time you choose to volunteer.  Some of our volunteers come in one or two days each week, while others work a few hours every month or so, or just to help with a fundraising project.  You can even work at home if you want to do things like writing thank you notes to our donors.  However you decide to help, we would very much appreciate any support you can provide.

Christmas Charities is a great place for groups to volunteer.  Please contact our office at 256-837-2373, or email ccyr@christmascharitiesyearround.org for information on project ideas.  We will be happy to tailor a project to meet the capability and availability of your group.
