Mission: Christmas Charities Year Round is non- profit charitable
organization serving Madison County, Alabama, that provides basic
necessities, plus toys and food at Christmas, at no cost to its clients.
Christmas Charities was founded in 1949 to help local families after a boll weevil
infestation devastated the area cotton crop. Our goal is to provide children in low
income families with the items needed to improve their lives. These items include
clothing, school supplies, toys and food at Christmas, and basic household
necessities. By providing needy children and their families with these simple
items we hope to improve the quality of their lives and encourage children to stay
in school. Education is the key to helping these children break the cycle of poverty
into which many of them are born.
