Operation Believe provides children and their families with Christmas toys, gifts, and food for a Christmas meal. The program also provides gifts and food to the elderly and disabled. In 2009, CCYR served more than 1,200 people. The majority of clients are families lead by single mothers, families with foster children, grandparents raising their grandchildren, and senior citizens hoping to be remembered during the holiday season. The program provides each child (under 18 and still in school) with a gift bag of new and gently used toys and a Christmas stocking filled with goodies. The holidays can be very stressful on families trying to make it day-to-day. With gas and food prices going up, it is almost impossible for our clients to save. Operation Believe helps to relieve the burden of the holiday season. We believe in Christmas, now they can too! YOU MUST BRING THE FOLLOWING: PROOF OF INCOME – CHECK STUB UTILITY BILL RENT RECEIPT SOCIAL SECURITY CARD OR OLD MEDICAID CARD FOR EVERYONE IN THE HOUSEHOLD |
